Bachelor of Art
As part of my professional experience, I have attended i-Ready training sessions and turnkeyed the information to my school’s faculty. Through these sessions, I have gained a deep understanding of how to effectively implement i-Ready’s assessment and instructional tools to support student growth. By leading professional development for my colleagues, I have helped ensure that our team maximizes the program’s impact, using data-driven insights to inform instruction and meet the diverse needs of our students.
Art Teacher
As an educator with a passion for creativity and literacy, I have enjoyed expanding my teaching experience beyond the classroom. For a few summers, I worked as an art instructor at the Maplewood Summer Program, where I guided students in exploring various artistic techniques and expressing their creativity. This experience strengthened my ability to design engaging, hands-on learning opportunities that inspire confidence and curiosity in young learners.
I am honored to have been invited back to my college to speak with future educators about my journey in securing a teaching position right after graduation and navigating a successful first year in the classroom. Sharing my experiences, challenges, and strategies for building confidence and effectiveness as a new teacher was a meaningful opportunity for me to support educators coming after me in the program at Rider University.
